To be considered for inclusion on the Best Places to Work ranking, companies must be a publicly or privately held business; be a for-profit, not-for-profit business or government entity; have a facility in the state of Alabama; have at least 15 employees in Alabama; and must be in business a minimum of one year. The ranking is then divided into either Small/Medium or Large companies based on the number of people employed in the region.
