IRWINDALE, CA (November 22, 2021) — SCE Federal Credit Union’s Board of Director’s announced that Jennifer Oliver has been selected as its new Chief Executive Officer effective March 1, 2022.
Ms. Oliver will replace the current CEO, Dan Rader who is retiring after 24 years of service at the Credit Union. Oliver has been engaged throughout the industry as a leader, speaker, and volunteer “We appreciate Dan and his support during this transition, as well as thank him for his incredible and dedicated service,” stated Patrick McCloskey, Chair of SCE Federal Credit Union’s Board of Directors.
The transition of leadership for the organization was both deliberate and an intentional process. “As we prepared for the retirement of Dan Rader, the Board of Directors has been working diligently over the past two years to find the right fit and culture add as President/CEO. We developed a CEO leadership transition plan with Mitchell Stankovic & Associates to guide and facilitate the process and to ensure due diligence was top of mind throughout the selection process. The entire Board came together to determine the future of our remarkable credit union. The process was thorough and the candidates we interviewed were exceptional,” said Mr. McCloskey.
The new CEO, Jennifer Oliver, brings more than 35 years of diversified credit union executive management currently as Executive Vice President of Municipal Credit Union, NY (approximately $4.2 billion in assets, 600,000 members, 500 staff and 15 branches) where she was selected to be part of the NCUA’s Conservatorship Executive Team to oversee the restoration of net worth, compliance remediation, modernization of operations, employee engagement and member trust. Prior to Municipal, Oliver was CEO of South Bay Credit Union, CEO of California Bear Credit Union and SVP at WestStar Credit Union in Las Vegas. “SCE Federal Credit Union is an incredible organization with an exciting future,” said Oliver. She added, “This is an important time for SCE, and I look forward to building upon Dan’s legacy and the foundation set by the Board and executive team. It is a wonderful opportunity to continue to serve this incredible membership and community, helping to make their financial goals a reality.”
