Kitsap credit union embarks on massive mortgage marketing campaign and wins Credit Union Members Mortgage Q3 Marketing Achievement Award

DALLAS, TX (August 1, 2014)  Kitsap Credit Union ($969 million; 89,835 members; Bremerton, WA) shared its new home loan partnership with credit union members in a big way using a multi-media approach with member and staff sales incentives. One of the main components of its promotions campaign was the Home Loan Referral Incentive Program, where employees received an incentive of $50 per refinance referral or $100 per purchase referral. Kitsap also offered members $500 savings on closing fees. Because of these promo efforts – which Kitsap experienced a 60 percent increase in applications – the credit union is the recipient of CU Members Mortgage’s 2014 Q3 Marketing Achievement Award.

“The objective of this campaign was to re-launch our home loan program, which is now in partnership with CU Members Mortgage,” states Kitsap’s Vice President of Marketing Leah Olson. “We wanted to ensure our members and community that we listened to them and have improved our home loan program to offer even more mortgage loan options with competitive rates, experienced loan officers, and faster loan closings.”
