Landmark Credit Union and Badger Campus Credit Union Announce Merger

New Berlin, WI – Badger Campus Credit Union, with $13 million in assets, is merging with Landmark Credit Union, pending regulatory approval and a vote by the Badger Campus members.  Badger Campus and Landmark Boards of Directors have already approved the merger.

“We are very happy to welcome Badger Campus’ 2,500 members and 6 employees to the Landmark family,” said Jay Magulski, Landmark President and CEO.  “This merger allows us to strategically expand our branch network.  We continue to execute on our brand promise, which is to bring consistent value and convenience to our members.  We do this with great rates on loans and deposits and excellent customer service.  And, we continue to offer free checking accounts and products and services with no or low fees.  We work hard so our members can truly benefit from the value our credit union delivers.”

The merger adds a branch location in Madison and widens Landmark’s charter to include Dane and Iowa counties.  Badger Campus Credit Union also has a branch inside one of the Forest Product Lab buildings in Madison.

“Our two credit unions share a belief in excellent customer service as well as a focus on employee satisfaction and a commitment to community involvement,” said Carl Mundth,

President and CEO of Badger Campus Credit Union. “It is rewarding to be able to offer our Badger Campus members an expanded list of products, services and locations that Landmark brings,” said Mundth, who will join Landmark Credit Union as an Assistant Vice President and continue to work from the Madison location.

The target date for the merger is March 31, 2013, with the merging of Badger Campus’ member accounts into Landmark’s computer system this summer.

Landmark Credit Union is $2.1 billion strong, with 526 employees who serve more than 209,000 member/customers at 29 locations throughout Southeastern Wisconsin. The merger will bring the number of Landmark locations to 31.
