Las Vegas to host 2017 CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference

WASHINGTON, DC (July 5, 2017) CUNA Supervisory Committee & Internal Audit Conference will take place Dec. 3-6, 2017, in Las Vegas. An exploration of new trends and best practices in credit union oversight, the conference is, notably, the only credit union event dedicated to the challenges facing supervisory committee members.

“The supervisory committee is one of the most important bodies within a credit union, and its members need to be sharp, informed and versatile,” said Michelle Johnson, Instructional Design Manager at CUNA. “At this conference, supervisory committee members come together to discuss the state of credit union oversight and discover how to best protect members’ assets while meeting the operational needs of today’s credit unions.”

Attendees of the conference tailor their learning to their unique experience level by choosing sessions that cover the specific issues that affect them.

While specifically aimed at supervisory committee members and internal auditors, the conference is also suited for volunteers, CEOs and compliance professionals who want to learn more about oversight. Attendees can make progress toward completing the supervisory committee track in the CUNA Volunteer Certification Program by participating in the conference.
