Credit unions now have a hybrid training option for aspiring, new, or current managers who want to quickly ramp up their managerial skills.
Reliance Consulting Resources, a CUSO owned by Park View Federal Credit Union, has introduced Managers Matter, a 6-week blended learning experience that combines bite-sized video lessons with live virtual challenge groups, all accessed on a high quality digital platform.
According to CUSO consultant Yvonne Boettger, M.S.Ed., SPHR, Managers Matter is “an engaging management training program that puts managers on the right track to lead with confidence and success. It combines the convenience of recorded lessons with the challenge and energy of live interaction with trainers and a cohort of participants.”
The program covers developing a manager’s mindset, effective communication, leadership presence, time management, and resilience. CUSO consultant Kay Manchester, who co-facilitates the training with Boettger, said that as a result of this program, “managers see their role more clearly, are more confident, make better decisions, build stronger relationships, and communicate more effectively. With credit unions experiencing challenges in recruitment and retention, the investment in management skills is critical.”
Managers Matter is scalable and affordable to organizations of any size. It requires a minimum of three participants per program, and can accommodate as many managers as desired.
Those interested in exploring the program for their credit union can enroll in a free Preview Class to experience the content. The preview gives access to two full lessons and the weekly intro videos. To enroll, contact ken.gonyer@pvfcu.org.
The Reliance Consulting Resources CUSO has two divisions: HR Reliance (www.hrreliance.com), led by Boettger and Manchester, which provides training, Working Genius workshops (as certified facilitators), and HR consulting; and Reliance Leadership Strategies (www.reliance-leadership.com), led by Certified Executive Coach Ken Gonyer, which offers coaching and development for CEOs, C-level executives, and Boards.
