Maui Teachers Federal Credit Union inks contract to convert to CU*BASE

GRAND RAPIDS, MI (July 14, 2020) — CU*Answers, the Grand Rapids, Michigan-based cooperative CUSO, announced that Maui Teachers Federal Credit Union will be joining its cooperative network following an early 2021 conversion to the CU*BASE core data processing suite. The credit union is headquartered in Wailuku, Hawaii.

Kelly Tobita, CEO for Maui Teachers FCU commented: “We had heard great things about CU*Answers from our friends over at Hawaii Central FCU in Honolulu, so when we started thinking about a core search they were one of the first vendors we invited to participate. What we discovered in talking to the CU*Answers team and their clients was that they were more than just a vendor, they were a true partner of the credit unions in their cooperative. Our due diligence convinced us that CU*Answers was the partner we were looking for and we look forward to joining their network in early 2021.” Tobita also noted that the credit union plans on becoming a stockholder in the cooperative.

The core conversion will go live on March 1st, 2021.
