Members Trust of the Southwest Federal Credit Union announces selection of Chief Lending Officer

PLANO, TX (October 28, 2020) — Members Trust of the Southwest Federal Credit Union has named Jeff Forsgren as its chief lending officer. Cornerstone Resources conducted the executive search for the$170 million credit union.

Forsgren’s 11 years of financial services, lending, and management experience will be an asset to the executive team at Members Trust. His passion for implementing strategic initiatives and programs, analytical problem solving, and relationship building will help Members Trust continue to provide their member-owners with quality financial services.

Forsgren comes to Members Trust from Frontwave Credit Union in Oceanside, California, where he served as director of the retail mortgage division. In this role, he was responsible for executing strategic plans in partnership with the executive team, including restructuring divisions, launching new products, reworking all loan procedures and policies, developing new community relationships, and driving new growth. At Frontwave, Forsgren broadened mortgage product offerings with five new products providing an additional $20 million in sales at the credit union.

Prior to his role at Frontwave, Forsgren was director of the retail mortgage division at CFCU Community Credit Union in Ithaca, New York. Forsgren spearheaded multi-departmental business development plans at the credit union, which exceeded sales targets by 225% and increased overall business customer size by 10% within six months.

Forsgren earned a Master of Business Administration in finance and strategy from the Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Additionally, Forsgren holds certification as a Staff Appraisal Reviewer (SAR) from the United States Department of Veterans Affairs and earned a Direct Endorsement Certification from the Federal Housing Administration (FHA).
