Mountain America Unveils Learning Center, Marks Financial Literacy Month

WEST JORDAN, UT (April 10, 2013) – As part of its longstanding commitment to financial literacy, Mountain America Credit Union has created an online Learning Center that contains tools and information to help members and others make informed financial decisions leading to the fulfillment of their financial goals.

The Learning Center – www.macu.com/learningcenter – contains links to articles, videos, budgeting tools, personal finance calculators, car-buying tools, ID protection information and frequently asked questions. It also connects to the credit union’s Mountain Money financial blog and the “8 Pillars of Financial Greatness” program. Mountain America and “8 Pillars” author and financial expert Brian Nelson Ford are holding a free financial literacy seminar April 17 in West Jordan, Utah. The public is invited.

“April is National Financial Literacy Month, and what better way to celebrate than to hold free financial literacy seminars and provide free online financial information to help members better manage their money, live a balanced life and achieve their financial dreams,” said Sharon Cook, senior vice president of marketing and PR for Mountain America. “Sometimes the difference between living on the edge and enjoying financial security is a little bit of information, and we will continue to do our best to make this valuable information as easily and widely available as possible.”

For more information and to RSVP for the 8 Pillars seminar, visit www.macu.com/8pillars. The Mountain Money financial blog can be found at blog.macu.com.
