Mountain West Chief Executive Institute trains credit union leaders

DENVER, CO (December 14, 2018) — Kathi Glanz, President of Yuma County Federal Credit Union, has completed the training of the prestigious Mountain West Credit Union Association’s Chief Executive Institute (CEI). Glanz was joined in the program by eight peer credit union leaders, who earned leadership certificates in the comprehensive training program.

The Chief Executive Institute is an executive level course to help leaders position their credit unions for growth and market leadership. Based on the Baldrige Excellence Framework, the CEI helps participants develop core competency in the areas of leadership; strategic planning; customer focus; measurement; analysis and knowledge management; workforce focus; operations focus; and results and change. These skills are taught in five, two-day classroom sessions; two, one-on-one coaching sessions; and mentoring sessions.

“The Chief Executive Institute really focuses in on intense training excellence and leadership skills,” said Dr. Dan Santangelo, Senior Vice President of Association Services and trainer for the CEI. “This program was designed to help credit union leaders develop a truly prestigious competency to elevate their credit unions for growth and leadership in the marketplace and their communities.”

“We are incredibly proud of Kathi for completing this training,” said Larry Marshall, Chairman of the Board for Yuma County Federal Credit Union. “She is an exemplary leader and will use this training to continue her outstanding service for the members of our credit union.” Glanz has been with the credit union since 2002.
