WASHINGTON – The National Association of Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU) will help credit unions craft a blueprint for a healthy future in its Feb. 22 webcast. The program, “Succession Planning: Critical Success Factors and Strategies,” will broadcast live from the NAFCU headquarters in Arlington, Va. from 2:00-3:30 p.m. EST.

The deadline for early registration savings is Feb. 15. NAFCU members and nonmembers can call 800-344-5580 or visit www.nafcu.org/successionplanningfebruary2012

to register.

“When top talent retires or resigns, credit union operations shouldn’t miss a beat,” said NAFCU President and CEO Fred R. Becker, Jr. “This webcast is a great opportunity for credit unions to ensure that they have a strong plan in place which guarantees the credit union’s continued success.”

The webcast’s featured speaker is Executive Search Consultant Larry Keen, who leads the financial services practice for LarsonAllen Search, LLP. He will discuss:

  • an internal and external strategy, vision and branding review and planning tools;
  • methods and examples of identifying the critical technical and soft skills required for operational excellence;
  • assessments and comparisons of existing talent versus external market capabilities; and
  • alternative strategies and disciplines for the credit union’s succession and talent needs.

Webcast participants will be able to submit questions during the webcast.

Additionally, those unable to attend the live broadcast can purchase an on-demand version for up to a year after the broadcast. Early registration savings are available for the on-demand version if purchased by Feb. 15.

NAFCU is the only national organization that focuses exclusively on federal issues affecting credit unions, representing its members before the federal government and the public.
