Natco Credit Union celebrates 75 years as a trusted financial partner to the local communities it serves

RICHMOND, IN (November 8, 2019) — Natco Credit Union, a full-service, not-for-profit financial cooperative serving nearly 16,000 members, marks a major milestone with its 75th anniversary. Since its inception, Natco Credit Union has remained dedicated to the financial well-being of its members while playing an essential role in strengthening the communities it serves.

Founded October 31, 1944, the original charter allowed the credit union to provide financial services to employees of NATCO (National Automatic Tool Company).

Over the years, Natco Credit Union has expanded their charter to now include membership to

  • Anyone who lives in one of the following Indiana Counties: Wayne, Fayette, Randolph, Henry, Rush, Union and Franklin;
  • An industrial worker within a 25-mile radius of Richmond, Indiana;
  • An immediate family member of an existing member.

The community charter allows Natco Credit Union to partner with more individuals and families to provide financial services and solutions they need and want. Natco Credit Union is committed to our mission – HELPING PEOPLE LIVE BETTER LIVES.

With a focus on serving the local communities, Natco Credit Union is designated as a CDFI (community development financial institution) and LID (low-income designated financial institution).

In 2013, the credit union opened the Natco Community Empowerment Center (NCEC). NCEC offers no-cost programs and services that include connections to local immediate need resources/assistance programs, job seeking assistance, money management counseling, training/classes/workshops and more.
