National Cannabis Industry Association to host press conference with members of Congress and allies today to discuss historic cannabis banking bill passage in house

SAFE Banking Act, the first standalone cannabis legislation to receive a full House vote, was approved in bipartisan super-majority vote on Wednesday

WASHINGTON, DC (September 26, 2019) — Following the overwhelming approval yesterday by the House of Representatives of the SAFE Banking Act, which would allow financial institutions to work with state-legal cannabis and hemp businesses and ancillary industries, the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) will join bill sponsors and other supportive lawmakers and organizations to discuss this landmark event and the next steps for cannabis banking legislation.
