NCUA Releases “Navigating for You” Video

OSCUI Services to Ensure that Small and Low-Income Credit Unions “Survive and Thrive” Showcased

ALEXANDRIA, VA (May. 30, 2013) – The National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) today released a new video showcasing the programs of the Office of Small Credit Union Initiatives (OSCUI) that assist small and low-income designated credit unions in meeting the evolving financial needs of their members and communities. “We recognize that small and low-income designated credit unions are important to their members and their local communities. So, NCUA’s OSCUI is working to ensure that viable credit unions can continue to survive and thrive,” said NCUA Board Chairman Debbie Matz. “This new video will help small and low-income credit unions find and access the services and funding that NCUA provides. I encourage all eligible credit unions to take advantage of OSCUI’s many resources.”

The 8-minute informational video features an overview of the training and consulting services provided by OSCUI, as well as NCUA’s grant and loan programs and the agency’s strategic partnerships and outreach initiatives. The video includes interviews from industry professionals and excerpts from OSCUI training events and initiatives.

NCUA’s OSCUI fosters credit union development and the effective delivery of financial services for small, new and low-income designated credit unions.
