Neighbors FCU partnering with WBRZ for “Pat’s Coats For Kids”

BATON ROUGE, LA (October 23, 2020)

Neighbors Federal Credit Union has partnered with Pat Shingleton and WBRZ for the 12th consecutive year as a primary sponsor for “Pat’s Coats for Kids.”

Last year, the campaign collected $130,000 and more than 13,000 coats for children in need at 211 local schools.

Neighbors will accept donations at all 10 locations across the Greater Baton Area now through November 11th. You can also make a donation online at https://www.wbrz.com/pages/pats-coats-for-kids/.

Neighbors will also participate in the campaign’s “Pack the Pod Day,” on November 4th and “Distribution Day” on December 4th.

“With the economic impact of the pandemic, we believe your donations are more vital than ever,” Neighbors President and CEO Steve Webb said. “Please come on out to any of our 10 locations across the Greater Baton Rouge area to make a donation to this wonderful cause.”

About Neighbors Federal Credit Union

Neighbors Federal Credit Union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative operating as an  association dedicated to "people helping people." A handful of educators started Baton Rouge  Teachers in 1954 with a shoe box, a couple hundred dollars and the goal of making financial  services available to school system employees in our area.   Now, Neighbors Federal Credit Union is the largest community-chartered credit union in the  state of Louisiana with over 76,000 members and over $1 billion in assets. Since that time,  Neighbors has undergone a variety of changes, but the mission has stayed the same: Enhance  members' financial well-being and be a partner in the communities Neighbors serves.
