New CUNA eSchool to equip credit union professionals with crucial ACH know-how

MADISON, WI (September 9, 2014) — CUNA has announced the dates and topics for a four-part CUNA ACH eSchool. The training series that will encompass the various aspects and uses of the ACH Network, taking place between October 7 and October 23.

“The ACH Network permeates numerous areas of a credit union’s operations, from payments to compliance to liabilities,” said Meghann Dawson, Director of Learning Events. “Credit unions will benefit from having someone on their team with a firm grasp of every ACH detail and nuance – and that’s where this eSchool comes in.”

Under the expert guidance of WACHA representatives Luann Kohlmann and Michele Barlow, attendees of CUNA ACH eSchool will start with the fundamentals of ACH before moving on to the day-to-day exception processing of ACH operations. The sessions will prepare attendees to act as their credit union’s authority on the special handling requirements of federal government benefits payments as governed by the Green Book, the liability of a financial institution upon the death of a consumer, the correct handling of Death Notification Entries and reclamations and more.
