New CUNA Technology Council white paper discusses leadership roadmaps in technology
MADISON, WI (June 15, 2016) — The CUNA Technology Council has published a new white paper,“Leadership Roadmaps for Credit Union Technology Professionals.”
For credit union information technology staff who focus their career development on one day moving into a C-suite position, what effective planning and best practices can be helpful in the journey? Whether aiming for chief information officer (CIO), chief technology officer (CTO), or another role, what makes IT professionals uniquely qualified for leadership?
This white paper is part roadmap, part human interest—laying out the necessary skill sets and characteristics needed to achieve at the C-suite, and also profiling the journeys of several IT professionals who’ve attained these roles.
Five credit union technology executives share their professional journeys and provide insights about:
- Preparing for leadership
- Defining the roadmap
- Trends affecting the journey
- Skill sets, traits of leaders, and executive competencies
- Development plans
CUNA Council members are eligible to receive complimentary copies of this, and hundreds of other white papers.
The paper is available online in the white paper section of www.cunacouncils.org.
Press may contact Natalie Sherry at nsherry@cuna.coop for a summary of the white paper.
