Northern Credit Union Joins Expanding Network of DNAapp Developers
47 organizations now certified to create, sell and share custom DNA extensions with the Open Solutions Client Community on the DNAappstore
Glastonbury, Conn., October 18, 2012 – Open Solutions Inc.®, the leading provider of collaborative enterprise technology to community-based financial institutions worldwide, announced today that Northern Credit Union is certified to create custom core extensions for the Open Solutions DNA™ platform – called DNAapps™ – that can be bought and sold on the DNAappstore™, the first and only online global marketplace for core innovation and collaboration.
As a new DNAapp developer, Northern Credit Union is certified to create seamlessly integrated, custom core applications for the DNA platform using the free and easy-to-use DNAcreator™ development toolkit. Northern Credit Union can use its DNAapps for its own benefit as well as sell them to other DNA clients on the DNAappstore, creating a new source of revenue for the institution.

Northern Credit Union joins 46 other organizations as a certified DNAapp developer. Since the launch of the DNAappstore in May 2011, these DNAapp developers have created over 130 DNAapps which have been downloaded more than 900 times by banks and credit unions running DNA around the world. Any Open Solutions client, partner or independent third-party developer can become a DNAapp developer to create its own custom solutions, shattering the top-down development model of legacy providers whose clients are beholden to their vendor’s priorities and release schedules.
