Northwest Federal’s Harmonie Taddeo speaks on NAFCU panel

“Top 5 Benefits of an Integrated Compliance Function” session part of annual conference

HERNDON, VA (June 29, 2015) — Harmonie Taddeo, Compliance Manager at Northwest Federal Credit Union, spoke Tuesday at the National Association of Federal Credit Union’s 48th Annual Conference and Solutions Expo, held this year in Montreal, Canada. The session, entitled “Top 5 Benefits of an Integrated Compliance Function” addressed the importance of a credit union’s compliance function keeping executive management abreast of new and changing regulations and how best to do so. Taddeo also spoke to the need for credit unions’ compliance departments to actively participate in the roll out of new products.

“I was honored to be asked to speak at NAFCU’s annual conference,” said Taddeo. “Doing so allowed me to share my experiences incorporating compliance considerations and complaint management practices into Northwest Federal’s enterprise-wide projects, which benefits Northwest Federal as an organization and ultimately our members.”

Taddeo is a NAFCU Certified Compliance Officer (NCCO) and a Certified Regulatory Vendor Program Manager (CRVPM). She has served on National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) working committees and as an officer of the Capital Area Compliance Roundtable.

“Harmonie is an accomplished compliance professional and an instrumental part of the Northwest Federal team,” said Chris McDonald, President/CEO of Northwest Federal. “We are proud to have her represent our organization at one of the largest conferences in the credit union industry, where she brought a wealth of knowledge regarding compliance culture, processes, and structure to the discussion.”
