The program is designed to make homeownership more accessible for Members in Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. True to the Credit Union’s commitment to helping Members and increasing accessibility to the housing market, the new Home Connections offerings can assist a homebuyer to receive a 20 percent rebate when purchasing a home and a 1.5 percent flat rate listing fee when selling. The innovative offering takes a unique route, especially compared to the traditional three percent selling and additional three percent listing fee that agents charge today.
Members will also have free access to tools and resources, such as a home search website with real-time access to MLS data during their home search, an instant estimate of their home’s value in today’s market, and a 20 percent discount on escrow fees for sellers. Overall, the program provides resources designed to ensure that prospective homebuyers are well equipped to become more informed and successful homeowners with great savings.
In addition to the new Home Connections program, Orange County’s Credit Union offers Members fixed-rate mortgage loans with terms ranging from five to 30 years. Members can also take advantage of adjustable rate mortgage loans with a fixed period of five, seven and 10 years. All of Orange County’s Credit Union’s home loans are offered with no upfront fees to apply, no prepayment penalty and no negative amortization.
