Over 35,000 “Money Rules” Books Distributed by NCUF in First 3 Weeks

Financial Literacy Guidebook is by Bestselling Author & Finance Expert Jean Chatzky

Madison, Wis. – Since the National Credit Union Foundation (NCUF) announced three weeks ago that copies of the book “Money Rules: The Simple Path to Lifelong Security” are available, over 35,000 copies have been distributed to credit union members and employees through this special initiative from NCUF.

“Money Rules” by bestselling personal finance author Jean Chatzky contains a set of smart, actionable, engaging rules that if followed will allow readers to enjoy a lifetime of financial security and eliminate their stress about money.

Through this special initiative sponsored by NCUF, credit union organizations can receive the book for a substantially reduced rate (via a donation to NCUF). Large quantities of the book have been requested by both credit unions and state credit union associations such as SchoolsFirst Federal Credit Union in Santa Ana, Calif. and the Montana Credit Union Network in Helena, Mont.

“Helping educate our Members on how to be smart consumers and better their financial lives is a top priority,” said Mark Rapp, SVP of Strategic Marketing at SchoolsFirst FCU. “By offering ‘Money Rules’ through our on-boarding program, we can provide new Members with some helpful financial tips and thank them for joining our credit union.”

“We see such value in this simple little book that we intend to give a copy to every official family member of our affiliated credit unions as a thank you for membership,” said Tracie Kenyon, President/CEO of the Montana Credit Union Network. “Additionally, we will provide a copy to every person that completes or volunteers in one of our outreach programs as a useful tool to show our appreciation.”

When an organization requests 1,000 or more copies of the book, the donor organization’s name will be included on a sticker on the front cover. Each book already comes with “Compliments of: NCUF” printed on the cover. All of the books from NCUF are sent to credit union organizations on a non-returnable basis, for promotional purposes only and not for resale.
