Pelican State Credit Union to host Owning the Homebuying Process virtual workshop
BATON ROUGE, LA (March 18, 2021) —
Pelican State Credit Union is hosting a free virtual Financial Wellness Workshop on Tuesday, March 23, 2021, where attendees will learn all about how to own the homebuying process. Attendees can expect to learn tips such as the first steps to becoming a homeowner, the best ways to search for a new home, various mortgage loan options, and more from a panel of experts.
The workshop will begin at 7:00 pm on both Zoom and Pelican’s Facebook page with a brief presentation followed by a Q&A session. The panel will feature Pelican Credit Counselor Nanette Diaz, Pelican Mortgage Originator Chris Neal, and Baton Rouge area realtor Kristen Stanley. Pelican Financial Outreach Supervisor Melanie Henderson will moderate the workshop and field all questions from attendees.
“Buying your first home can be an exciting, yet unfamiliar process. We wanted to help future homeowners across the state of Louisiana navigate everything that goes into purchasing a home by offering advice and support to let them know they are not alone,” Henderson said. “Providing this free and educational workshop allows Pelican to empower these individuals through each and every step of the homebuying process.
Questions for the panel can be submitted during registration or during the event using Zoom’s Q&A feature or the comment section on the Facebook Live post. The experts will also be addressing some of the most popular questions they get asked.
This workshop is completely free and open to the public, and Pelican membership is not required to attend the workshop or ask questions.
