Pen Air Federal Credit Union Offers Free Financial Literacy Program to Area Schools

PENSACOLA, FL (August 13, 2013) — Pen Air Federal Credit Union sponsors free financial literacy programs for local middle school and high school teachers and students through a partnership with Banzai, a national financial literacy program.

Banzai is an interactive, online financial literacy program for students and teachers to lean to value of money. Pen Air FCU provides teachers with Banzai workbooks that supplement online portions of the program at no cost. The workbooks present students with real-life scenarios in which they learn to pay bills, balance a budget and manage unexpected expenses.

Pen Air FCU also provides 30 min. classroom presentations dealing with a variety of financial topics such as the fundamentals of finance, living on a budget, the truth about credit, gearing up for college and student loans.

This interactive approach to teaching financial concepts keeps students engaged and motivated. In 2010 the Institute for Financial Literacy awarded Banzai the Curriculum of the Year Award. Banzai partners with more than 5,000 schools in all 50 states.

For more information or to book your classroom presentation contact Pen Air FCU Marketing Manager, Pam Hatt at (850) 505-3200, Ext. 3419 or visit penair.teachbanzai.com.
