Pen Air Federal Credit Union re-opens Milton, Florida office
PENSACOLA, FL (January 27, 2015) — Pen Air Federal Credit Union has re-opened the doors to a newly renovated, full-service Milton, Florida office complete with new Personal Teller Machines (PTMs). The Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce and City of Milton VIPs assisted with a ribbon cutting ceremony to kick off Grand Re-opening festivities.
Pen Air Federal Credit Union’s history in the Milton, Florida area began decades ago. Pen Air FCU’s presence in Santa Rosa County began to take shape in 1970 when Pen Air FCU opened its NAS Whiting Field office. As the population of Santa Rosa County grew, so did the need to expand services. In December 1989, a walk up ATM kiosk was installed in Milton, Florida and performed both deposits and withdrawals. Due to an increasing transaction volume and continued membership growth, a full service Milton office was officially opened in 1995. Later in 1999, Pen Air FCU temporarily leased a facility in Dogwood Park for a second Milton office to assist with the overflow and eventual remodeling of the main Milton office. Natural disasters and the local economy over the next few years caused remodeling plans to be postponed. Finally in 2014, after careful planning and research, a specialized design team was contracted to create a bigger and better facility that the Pen Air FCU membership and Milton community could be proud of.
Members of the community attending the Grand Re-opening of the Pen Air FCU Milton office could see for themselves the renovations were worth the wait. Pen Air FCU Milton office offers more space, open lobby format, pods for walk up service, Personal Teller Machines for personal yet automated service, and an overall, “Wow,” experience.
The Personal Teller Machine (PTM), unlike the tradition Automated Teller Machine (ATM), offers one-on-one dialogue with a live representative through real-time video conferencing. Transactions above and beyond a traditional ATM can be conducted at these machines and actual coin can be disbursed if cashing a check. By having PTMs, service hours can be expanded. The hours of operation for the traditional office and teller area are Monday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Fridays until 5:30 p.m. The PTMs will be operational Monday – Friday 7:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. for more flexible hours and access to funds.
