Pen Air recognizes recent executive team promotions

PENSACOLA, FL (May 4, 2022) — Pen Air Federal Credit Union (Pen Air) recognizes three recent executive team member promotions – Tom Furr, John Heckmann and Maritza Woodfaulk.

Tom Furr, originally hired as a Business Lending Manager in 2007, was recently promoted to the new Vice President of Commercial Lending. Furr holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a specialty in Accounting from the University of West Florida and boasts 25 years of experience as a Commercial Lender. He is an active member of this community where he currently serves on the board of Freedom Foundation of Valley Forge, a member of the Cantonment Rotary and an Ambassador for Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce. Furr is also a Past President for the Pensacola Navy League during the 100th Anniversary of the Navy, in 2014.

John Heckmann, now the Vice President of Strategy and Investments, joined Pen Air in 2012 after ten years as an Investment Banker. Heckmann holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Arkansas as well as an MBA in Accounting and Finance from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock. In this new role, he will work closely with the Executive Team to build a team of Portfolio Manager(s) and Investment Specialist(s) to oversee Pen Air’s Portfolio and Asset/Liability Management.

Maritza Woodfaulk has served Pen Air for 26 years. After moving from Los Angeles, CA in 1996, Woodfaulk began her career at Pen Air in the Administration Department. While working full-time, she earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology with a minor in Business Administration from Troy University. Upon earning her degree, she was promoted to Executive Administrator and is now the Executive Support Manager where she works closely with the CEO, Board of Directors, Executive Team, while also managing the Admin Team.
