Pennsylvania-based credit union PSECU provides free lunchtime shuttle service during the 2018 Pennsylvania Farm Show

HARRISBURG, PA (January 5, 2018) PSECU, Pennsylvania’s largest credit union, and the Farm Show Food Court Commodity Vendors are proud to once again provide complimentary lunchtime transportation to and from the 2018 Pennsylvania Farm Show throughout the Harrisburg area, in collaboration with Capital Area Transit (CAT). Initially designated as a service for state employees, the annual gesture of appreciation was extended to the greater community since 2016.

“At PSECU, we strive to keep members’ and potential members’ convenience top of mind – not only in the banking products and services we offer, but also in how we interact with them on a daily basis. Providing this free shuttle service is just another one of the ways we try to make their lives a little easier, less stressful, and hopefully more fun, too,” said PSECU President Greg Smith. “You don’t need to worry about a ticket either – just hop on and ride. Everyone is invited to join us.”

The free lunchtime shuttle features two routes to and from the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex & Expo Center – one from downtown Harrisburg, running Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at approximately seven-minute intervals, and a second from facilities along Elmerton Avenue, running Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. at approximately 30-minute intervals. A complete schedule, including stops serviced, is available at No bus pass is required.

“The commodity vendors of the Farm Show Food Court are proud of the relationship we have built with PSECU,” said Chris Herr, Executive Vice President of PennAg industries Association and Representative of the Farm Show Food Court Commodity Vendors. “The Farm Show Food Court is arguably one of the highlights of the year for many folks who work in Harrisburg, and this shuttle service helps make it easier for them to get there.”

In addition to the free shuttle service, PSECU employees will greet riders upon arrival at the Farm Show and distribute reusable tote bags to help carry items purchased while onsite. Each day of the shuttle service, 125 of the bags will be randomly stuffed with a $2 Farm Show Food Court coupon. Additional bags will contain coupons for daily highlighted food items, like the event’s iconic milkshakes and baked potatoes.

PSECU members patronizing the 2018 Pennsylvania Farm Show will also enjoy the added benefit of six onsite, surcharge-free ATMs.

Opened in 1934, PSECU was founded by 22 ordinary people who pooled $90 and made an extraordinary commitment to each other: To create a financial institution where collective resources benefit all members. Today, PSECU continues that legacy as Pennsylvania’s digital-first credit union, with $8.5 billion in assets, an economic impact of over $700 million, more than 580,000 members, and a convenient anytime, anywhere banking model.
