People’s Credit Union Appoints Berry As Accounting Manager

Middletown, RI – Brian Hennessey, EVP and Chief Financial Officer for People’s Credit Union, is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven F. Berry to Accounting Manager.  In this position, he is responsible for planning, organizing and directing the activities involved in the administration of all functions within the Finance Department.  This includes maintaining the Credit Union’s accounting system, analyzing financial data and managing the financial reporting.

Berry brings many years of financial experience to People’s.  For over 25 years he was employed by The Community Bank.  His most recent position there was as Treasurer and Finance Officer.  Prior to that position he served as the Controller / Assistant Treasurer.

He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Gordon College and an Undergraduate Certificate in Accounting from Bridgewater State College.  In addition, Berry is actively involved in the Brockton High School Band Booster Association and as an elementary youth group mentor and activity coordinator.  He resides in Brockton, MA.

“Steven brings a wealth of experience in finance and accounting to People’s.  We are certain his background and expertise will make him an asset to the Credit Union,” commented Hennessey.

People’s Credit Union serves members through six locations in Bristol, Middletown, Newport, North Kingstown, Portsmouth and Wakefield.
