Postal Credit Union Offering Convenience of Online Account Opening

WOODBURY, MN (August 19, 2013) — Postal Credit Union (PCU) in Minnesota is now offering the convenience of 24/7 online account opening, utilizing the best-in-class uOpen tool from Harland Financial Solutions. With a simple click of the mouse, new members can “Join PCU” from the credit union’s homepage, while current members can open additional accounts. The application process takes about 10 minutes to complete.

The Online Account Opening tool can be used to open Savings, Checking, Money Market, and Reserve Savings accounts. Future enhancements will include the ability to apply for a new auto or personal loan or Visa Credit Card. Accounts can be funded with a credit or debit card, or a transfer from another financial institution at the time of account opening.

One in 4 or 54.9 million U.S. consumers attempted to open an account online in 2011, according to a 2011 Javelin study.
