PSCU Magic Minute Loyalty Dash delivers huge haul for credit union members

Six Credit Union Members Bag over $36,000 in Merchandise from Sweepstakes Win

ST PETERSBURG, FL (December 12, 2014) ­– Over a mere six minutes in a Chicago warehouse loaded with high-end merchandise last week, six members of PSCU Member-Owner Credit Unions harvested an eye-popping $36,000 worth of goods for winning the second Credit Union Magic Minute Loyalty SweepstakesTM.

Winners were rewarded with an all-expense-paid trip for two to the Windy City and a place at the starting line of the Credit Union Magic Minute Loyalty Dash on December 4. The objective: push an oversized shopping cart through the aisles of a warehouse stacked with all manner of brand name products and load in as much merchandise as possible ­ in just 60 seconds. This year¹s dashers stocked up on MacBook Airs, iPads, Canon EOS Rebel DSLR Cameras, Dyson vacuums, Dooney & Bourke designer handbags, 50-inch flat screen TVs and other goodies.

The Credit Union Magic Minute Loyalty Sweepstakes was conceived and sponsored by PSCU as a way to give their Member-Owner Credit Unions a no-cost opportunity to reward six lucky members with the shopping thrill of a lifetime. Each winner also received the royal treatment while in Chicago, including an escort limo service and lunch atop Chicago with thrilling VIP access to The Skydeck Ledge in Willis Tower ­ offering views that span four states. Finally, each winner¹s trip was made complete with gift card spending money and unexpected surprises ­ including one lucky couple¹s treat to Super Bowl XLIX.

This year¹s winners came from Affinity Plus, ALEC, American Airlines, Citadel and Ohio University credit unions and were each accompanied by a representative from their credit union. The Magic Minute sweepstakes benefits participating credit unions through increased membership, higher card activation and usage rates, and the collection of cardholder email addresses for use in future targeted marketing campaigns.

The sweepstakes was open to all PSCU Member-Owner Credit Unions that were enrolled in the company¹s CURewards® loyalty programs. Credit unions incurred no cost to enroll. To enter the sweepstakes, members of enrolled credit unions registered their contact information on PSCU¹s CURewards website and used their credit or debit cards in at least three purchases in any of the weeks between August 4 and October 26 to have their names entered into six weekly drawings that took place from August 17 to October 26.

PSCU plans to continue hosting the annual Magic Minute Loyalty Sweepstakes and expects participation from even more credit unions next year.
