PSECU welcomes new Assistant Vice President focused on membership expansion and loyalty

HARRISBURG, PA (September 1, 2020) — Pennsylvania’s anytime, anywhere digital credit union, PSECU, will welcome Adam Stewart as its Assistant Vice President of Sales and Sales Strategy on September 8. Stewart brings 13 years of experience in the credit union field to the newly created role.

“Adam is a seasoned credit union professional with a broad skill set spanning Marketing, Business Development, Sales, and Service, and we’re excited to welcome him to PSECU,” said the credit union’s Vice President of Marketing and Membership Development Barb Bowker. “The contributions Adam will make as part of our team will complement and strengthen our overall marketing strategy while allowing us to focus our efforts aimed at expanding PSECU’s high-quality products and services to an even larger membership group.”

As PSECU’s AVP of Sales and Sales Strategy, Stewart will be responsible for developing an exceptional sales culture within the credit union that delivers efficient and repeatable processes to ensure membership growth, preference, and loyalty. He will also coach, develop, and train team members and direct reports to build collaborative, cross-functional relationships and to increase sales to meet organizational goals.

Stewart most recently served as Vice President of Marketing for Belco Community Credit Union, a $616 million financial institution also headquartered in Harrisburg. In this role, he was responsible for the development, implementation, measurement, and maintenance of the credit union’s strategic marketing, community relations, and business development plans. He also researched and recommended new products and services – or revisions to existing products and services – to enhance the member experience, to meet members’ financial needs, and to remain competitive in the market. Throughout his 13-year career at Belco, Stewart also served as its Vice President of Sales and Service and Regional Sales Manager, as well as a Branch Manager and Teller.

Stewart earned his Bachelor’s in Marketing from Mercyhurst University in Erie. He also attended the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) Management School and is a Certified Credit Union Executive.

“Having dedicated my entire career to the credit union movement, I am very familiar with the benefits that these not-for-profit financial institutions provide to their members each and every day,” Stewart said. “I look forward to this new opportunity at PSECU – a credit union that I’ve long admired for its forward-thinking digital-first banking model and excellent reputation in the industry – and through this role, I hope to share the advantages of credit union banking with many potential PSECU members throughout Pennsylvania and beyond.”

In keeping true to the credit union “people helping people” spirit, Stewart has also served as a Junior Achievement volunteer for more than seven years.
