Redwood Credit Union promotes Alma Magallon to Member Service Center Manager

Redwood Credit Union (RCU) has promoted Alma Magallon to Member Service Center Manager. In her new role, Alma will provide vision and leadership to member service center staff and will pursue continuous process improvement to ensure members get the help and information they need—when they need it.

She joined RCU in 2010 in the member service center and has since taken on roles of lead trainer, supervisor, and most recently assistant manager. In 2020, Magallon was recognized as an outstanding leader in the Latino business community and given a Latino Business Leadership Award.

“Alma cares deeply about her community and loves that RCU affords her more opportunities to support it,” said Deirdre Thompson, senior vice president of member experience. “She knows how to deliver excellent service to our members and how to empower her employees to do the same.”

Magallon has been involved with the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for five years and currently serves as its president. Each year, she participates in the planning for the South Park Day and Night Festival and is an active board member for the new nonprofit, the Small Business Hardship Fund.
