Madison, Wis. – Credit unions will soon be marketing like a rock star.  CUNA has just announced this year’s keynote speaker, Robin “The RockStar Speaker” Creasman, for its 2011 Marketing Management Schools, to be held May 16-19, 2011, at the Hard Rock Hotel in San Diego, California.

In a truly unique, always exciting presentation, Creasman delivers the message that everyone has the ability to “Stand out like a rock star,” and move from average to awesome by understanding the power we have within ourselves.

Drawing on over 25 years in the entertainment industry, Creasman reveals how his interactions with legendary performers such as Paul McCartney, Trisha Yearwood, Travis Tritt, Terry Bradshaw and Jeff Gordon helped him understand what truly makes a person a “rock star.”

Creasman’s keynote is the opening act for what will be an illuminating and highly interactive experience for credit union marketing professionals.  Immediately following the keynote address, attendees will work in teams to discuss how to utilize Creasman’s R.O.C.K.S.T.A.R. Success Principles and identify opportunities to implement at their credit union.

Interacting and implementing will occur throughout the CUNA Marketing Management School.  One of the industry’s longest-running and most respected conferences on marketing, the CUNA Marketing Management School features three learning tracks:

  • Marketing 101 – For credit union staff new to marketing.
  • Beyond the Basics – For experienced credit union marketing professionals.
  • Innovate, Strategize, Lead – For individuals focused on a leadership role.

Each of these tracks will have a lead facilitator, and each of them will work throughout the conference with their group as a mentor.  The goal is to ensure the expert advice and breakthrough ideas from the conference are applied to real-life credit union scenarios.

Attendees will not only hear about proven credit union marketing techniques, they’ll take the first steps to implement them in their own credit union.

Lead facilitators for each of these breakout sessions include:

Marketing 101 – Randy Schulz: The vice president of marketing for Weber Marketing Group, Randy has more than 25 year of financial marketing experience in strategic branding and marketing.  He’s helped create new corporate names and identities for leading credit unions including John Deere Community Credit Union (now Veridian), Credit Union Central Falls (now Navigant) and others across the US and Canada.

Beyond the Basics – Mark Arnold, CCUE:  As a senior vice president for Neighborhood Credit Union, Arnold spearheads multiple strategies that encompass the entire credit union operation.  He also directs activities designed to create a sales culture and pursue innovative technologies.  Mark has won numerous communications awards and is a frequent national speaker on credit union topics.

Innovate, Strategize, Lead – Jeff Rendel:  On a mission to develop excellent leaders, Jeff’s goal as president of Rising Above Enterprises is to help associations and professionals enhance their personal growth.  He applies his broad-based experience as a federal regulator, financial executive and congressional lobbyist to foster professional growth.
