Robins Federal Credit Union celebrates 60th anniversary

WARNER ROBINS, GA (February 3, 2014) — Robins Federal Credit Union is proud to be celebrating 60 years of providing financial service to Central Georgia.

At the end of 1954, Robin Federal had approximately 1,770 members with $119,000 in loans and $72,000 in deposits and was only available to Robins Air Force Base personnel. A modest beginning for a credit union that is now the one of the largest in Georgia with over 152,000 members, 19 branches, over $1.8 billion dollars in assets and over 350 employees.

In 2000, Robins Federal changed to a community charter in order to offer financial services to anyone in Central Georgia. Today, Robins Federal offers membership to anyone who lives, works, attends school or conducts regular business in 16 counties including Baldwin, Bibb, Clarke, Crawford, Emanuel, Houston, Jones, Macon, Monroe, Peach, Pulaski, Putnam, Taylor, Telfair, Twiggs and Wilkinson.

There have definitely been changes to the way we have operated over the last 60 years but our commitment to our members has never changed. Robins Federal remains dedicated to providing outstanding value to its members while supporting numerous local charities and organizations.

In addition, Robins Federal has a full year of events and giveaways lined up in celebration of the 60th Anniversary. Robins Federal plans on celebrating this important milestone all year long with various events at branch locations, a drive-in movie, shred days, special SWAG outings, social media contests and giveaways throughout the year. Stay tuned to www.robinsfcu.org for all of the 60th Anniversary Celebration details.
