Rock the Riverfront Rock Hunt comes to an end

EAU CLAIRE, WI (June 22, 2023) — The RCU Foundation’s Rock the Riverfront Classic Rock Hunt sponsored by Market & Johnson ended on the evening of Wednesday, June 21.  Amber Borofka and her family from Eau Claire found the rock hiding near a bush in University Park near the Eau Claire Area School District Admin building on Grand Avenue. The stay-at-home mom enjoyed adding this adventure to her week and even took her 4 kids and husband along to hunt for the rock.  The family hopes to use the money for a family adventure so they can all enjoy the reward.

In addition to the Classic Rock Hunt a Youth Rock Hunt held in earlier In June this year.  This scavenger hunt created an opportunity for kids and families to get out and explore their communities.  There was a small rock hidden in 8 different Royal Credit Union (Royal) communities.  The children that found the rocks received a Royal Credit Union Piggy Bank and $50 cash!

Rock the Riverfront featuring the Charity Classic will be held in person with virtual options and includes a 10K and 2 mile run/walk, and a youth run/walk option.  Registration is open now until June 22 at www.rcu.org/Race, or in-person at Royal Credit Union Corporate Office on June 23 or 24. Proceeds from the 2023 event will benefit three workforce development organizations: Junior Achievement of Wisconsin Northwest Area, L.E. Phillips Career Development Center, and Workforce Resource, Inc.

The RCU Foundation thanks Market & Johnson for sponsoring the Classic Rock Hunt and the Youth Rock Hunt.  More information is available at www.rcu.org/Race.
