Sageworks Bank Information releases News, a real-time industry news module
RALEIGH, NC (October 13, 2014) — Sageworks Bank Information, a web-based data platform that includes financial and regulatory information on every U.S. bank and credit union, today announced the addition of an industry news module to the product. With real-time updates from more than 25,000 sources, the News module provides users the ability to see all of the latest bank and credit union news from both local and national publications. News is designed to allow people to customize what they see, so users can choose to view only the news relevant to a specific institution or subject area, or to view all of the latest industry news. Additionally, News allows users to set up real-time email alerts and schedule email newsletters for any time, day or night.
In order to meet the needs of financial institutions and industry consultants, investors, advisors and vendors, the News module allows users to segment their search by seven categories, such as “Executive Changes” and “Enforcement Actions,” and choose between banking and credit union specific news, as well as apply geographic filters. Additionally, clients who set up peer groups in the Financial Performance module can apply those peer groups as a news filter.

We wanted to provide users – whether they’re community bankers, bank consultants or credit union executives –the news that is most relevant to them – quickly and easily.”
The News module coincides with the ability for Sageworks Bank Information customers to customize their user experience by choosing and buying only the data they need. Users can choose from any combination of six different modules within the platform: News, Financial Performance, Contacts, Credit Unions, Loan Tracker, and Industry Data.
