San Francisco Federal Credit Union hosts Shred Day for members

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 4, 2013) — San Francisco Federal Credit Union, a not-for-profit, member-owned financial institution serving San Francisco and San Mateo Counties, held a successful Shred Day for members on October 19.

Forty-eight members attended the event, which featured a shred truck on-site at the Credit Union’s main branch. The Credit Union helped members shred 37 64-gallon containers of confidential papers and documents.

“The protection of our members’ financial information is a top priority at San Francisco Federal Credit Union,” said Steven Stapp, President and CEO of San Francisco Federal Credit Union. “We hold membership-wide shredding events to encourage members to destroy sensitive information so it doesn’t end up in the wrong hands.”
