SDCCU offers free educational resources in celebration of National Financial Awareness Day

SDCCU presents webinars and blogs focused on improving financial health as part of SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays

San Diego County Credit Union® (SDCCU®), one of Southern California’s largest locally-owned financial institutions, is committed to promoting the importance of financial education to help build a foundation for overall financial security and wellness through its support of National Financial Awareness Day on August 14. Throughout August, SDCCU will present weekly educational webinars focused on financial awareness for various stages of life as part of SDCCU’s Financial Wellness Wednesdays. Topics include: 6 Steps to Create a Personal Budget, Long-Term Care: The Great Income Gap, Understanding Your Spending and Financial Behaviors and 10 Steps to Financial Freedom.

“Building a successful financial future starts with establishing a solid financial foundation and our financial resources offer valuable information regardless of your stage of life or financial situation,” said Teresa Campbell, SDCCU president and CEO. “We are pleased to do our part to help educate the community in celebration of National Financial Awareness Day.”

According to Forbes, just four in seven Americans are ‘financially literate,’ and only 24 percent of millennials understand basic financial concepts. The aim of National Financial Awareness Day is to bring awareness to learning about finances and building financial stability in preparation for a successful financial future.

The webinars offered are part of Financial Wellness Wednesdays, an ongoing program hosted by SDCCU, to help provide the community access to free financial wellness information.
