RALEIGH, NC (January 6, 2014) — In partnership with College Foundation of North Carolina (CFNC) and the North Carolina Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators (NCASFAA), State Employees’ Credit Union (SECU) will once again open its doors on FAFSA Day to help high school seniors and their families complete and electronically submit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms. From 9 am until 12 noon on Saturday, February 22nd, SECU personnel will be available in all 252 branches to provide assistance with the forms, a requirement in consideration for all federal and most state financial aid for college, including scholarships and grants.
FAFSA Day will be held in all 100 North Carolina counties at more than 300 site locations, including numerous college campuses and SECU branches. The Credit Union will assist SECU members in any of its branch locations; however, in counties with FAFSA sites only at SECU, the Credit Union will serve both members and non-members.
