Security Service Charitable Foundation donates $5,000 to Aransas County ISD Education Foundation

Donation supports schools recovering from Hurricane Harvey

SAN ANTONIO, TX (September 6, 2018) — Security Service Charitable Foundation is helping over 3,300 students and their teachers recover from the devastation of Hurricane Harvey by donating $5,000 to the Aransas County ISD Education Foundation. The donation will be used to purchase new computers and printers critically needed for online student testing.

“Students are suffering from the loss of their homes, precious items and friends who may never return to their school,” said Julie Balboa, vice president of member service­ for Security Service Federal Credit Union – South Texas. “We are pleased to help the Aransas County ISD Education Foundation ensure they maintain stability as they walk through the reconstruction process.”

“For the past 17 years, our district’s education foundation has sought to advance and celebrate the educational excellence of students and teachers, but there’s no more critical time for us to do that than right now,” said Suzanne Ransleben, executive director for the Aransas County ISD Education Foundation. “Community partners like Security Service Federal Credit Union are helping us make certain the youth of Aransas County recover from Hurricane Harvey.”

The Aransas County ISD Educational Foundation encourages community support to offer creative and innovative programs that enhance career and academic education while also promoting staff excellence.
