SkyOne welcomes new leadership in lending and finance
Russ McAtee and Scott Ko join SkyOne’s Executive Leadership Team
HAWTHORNE, CA (December 4, 2019) — SkyOne Federal Credit Union (SkyOne) is pleased to announce the hiring of Chief Lending Officer Russ McAtee and Chief Financial Officer Scott Ko to the Executive Leadership Team.

As CLO, Mr. McAtee will oversee SkyOne’s Consumer, Mortgage, and Commercial Lending, as well as Loan Servicing and Credit Risk Management. Russ has over 30 years of financial services expertise working with credit unions. He has a Master’s in Business Administration from Arizona State University and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Financial Administration from Michigan State University. “Russ is an executive leader who understands the importance of linking Strategy, Financial Discipline, Risk Management, and Organizational Performance to a culture where employees, members, and communities thrive,” said Whitaker. “His senior leadership will better enable us to deliver lending solutions tailored to our members’ needs through a rewarding, effortless experience.”
As CFO, Mr. Ko will oversee the credit union’s Finance Division, comprised of the Accounting and Risk Management departments, working to continuously ensure the security of member-owned dollars. Scott has over 15 years of credit union experience, holding a variety of roles in Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Member Services. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Occidental College and is a licensed CPA. Whitaker stated, “I am pleased to have Scott join the Executive Leadership Team in this key executive role at SkyOne. Scott brings a unique balance of financial understanding and operational experiences to his role as CFO.” Whitaker added, “The financial services industry is seeing unprecedented rates of change, and with that comes incredible opportunity for our credit union to grow prosperity for more people in the communities we serve.”
