SkyPoint contracted with Pulsate Mobile to deepen member relationships with mobile advertising technology

GERMAN TOWN, MD (January 27, 2020) — SkyPoint Federal Credit Union of Germantown, Md., has finalized the implementation of a new mobile marketing technology into the mix of channels for their members. SkyPoint has contracted with Pulsate Mobile, LTD to deepen member relationships with mobile advertising technology.

Pulsate provides technology that allows financial institutions (FIs) to integrate geo-targeted mobile marketing into the financials’ iOS or Android mobile apps. After the integration takes place, the FI is then able to track members, segment members into groups, create unique messaging, target messaging by geographies, and send push notifications about special offers to the targeted member group.

“We understand the great importance of mobile marketing in today’s digital world,” says Jorge Saenz, SkyPoint’s Chief Development and Engagement Officer. “But we wanted to move closer to our members and target them with specific messaging based on how they use the SkyPoint mobile banking app. Pulsate is the perfect solution for this, based on how they integrate.”

SkyPoint currently advertises to mobile users through online digital marketing and social media platforms. However, these messages are largely targeted at non-members in the field of membership. The credit union’s implementation of Pulsate Mobile allows the digital marketing strategy to come full circle and communicate with current members as well.

“Over the past five to seven years, we’ve really focused on becoming as digital as possible with all of our banking and marketing efforts,” says Jim Norris, CEO of SkyPoint. “For SkyPoint, the introduction of Pulsate is another step in that direction. We know this will make it easier for us to put more relevant messaging in front of our members, which is what they have been asking for.”

SkyPoint launched the Pulsate integration with their mobile app in late 2019.
