South Carolina Federal begins construction on Cane Bay Financial Center
NORTH CHARLESTON, SC (June 25, 2019) — South Carolina Federal Credit Union has broken ground on construction of its newest financial center in the Cane Bay area of Berkeley County. Located at 1736 State Rd. in Summerville, this location will be the credit union’s first ground-up project in over a decade.
The Cane Bay financial center will feature a modern design, upgraded security features, two drive through lanes and an onsite ATM. It is located in a grocery-anchored shopping center that includes a number of popular retail and restaurant tenants.
“The Cane Bay neighborhood is growing rapidly, so a financial center in the area will be a convenient addition for our members and the community,” said Toby Turbeville, Vice President of Facilities at South Carolina Federal. “This will be our most technologically advanced location yet and allow us to provide the best possible service to our membership.”
South Carolina Federal is working with Harbor Contracting and Spivey Architects on the construction and design of the financial center, which is expected to open in March of 2020.
