TDECU offers loan solutions to members affected by federal government shutdown

LAKE JACKSON, TX (October 3, 2013) — In the midst of the government shutdown, TDECU is answering the call and offering several loan solutions to help members who are federal government employees and are being affected by the hiatus.
The solutions include:
•    TDECU credit card with zero percent interest for six months
•    Loan extension for non-mortgage consumer loans
•    Government pay interruption loan

TDECU members who receive direct deposits from the federal government and who are being affected by the government shutdown can obtain the credit union’s special Government Pay Interruption Loan with a 0% interest rate for the first 30 days. After the initial 30-day period, the loan will convert to the current signature loan rate with a repayment term of an additional 11 months. The maximum loan amount will be equal to the amount of one net paycheck.

TDECU members should contact the credit union for eligibility and qualification requirements as well as help in determining which solution is best for them.
