The Kids-N-Hope Foundation’s 26th Annual Golf Classic raises $145,000

Fundraising Event Supports Music Therapy Program at Regional Hospitals and Not-For-Profits

PHILADELPHIA, PA (October 27, 2021) — The Kids-N-Hope Foundation (“The Foundation”) raised $145,000 during its 26th Annual Golf Classic event at the Huntingdon Valley Country Club on Monday, October 25. The event’s volunteer staff and golfers enjoyed an afternoon on the greens and ended the day with an Awards Banquet and Silent Auction event.  The annual golf outing serves as one of the signature fundraising and recognition events for The Foundation.

Approximately 150 golfers came out for the day and enjoyed friendly competitions in various skills contests, which awarded winners in the Longest Drive, Putting Contest and the Closest to the Pin.

The Kid’s-N-Hope Foundation kicked off its Silent Auction online for those who could not attend the event to have an opportunity to place bids on various items and memorabilia, and winners were chosen at the in-person event. The $25,000 Helicopter Golf Ball Drop awarded the winner whose golf ball was closest to the hole after being dropped from a helicopter. The winner received half of the total winnings while the remaining amount was donated to The Foundation.

During the awards banquet, a patient from Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP), Gabe, and his mother, Savine, spoke about the impact Kids-N-Hope and the Music Therapy Program at CHOP have had on their life and Gabe’s treatment and development.

“We are deeply appreciative of all of our sponsors, business partners, and participants for their support of our Golf Outing and their continuous dedication to the Kids-N-Hope Foundation,” stated Dorian Smith, Executive Director of the Kids-N-Hope Foundation. “The funds raised from the event will greatly impact the children who benefit from The Foundation and the programs it supports.”
