The Summit Federal Credit Union organizes company-wide school supply drive

Donations of new school supply items to benefit a variety of groups throughout the regions served by The Summit.

ROCHESTER, NY (August 3, 2022) — The Summit Federal Credit Union has kicked off its 2022 School Supply Drive. Donation boxes are located in all 14 branches of The Summit, as well as I-Square in Irondequoit, and Center for the Arts of Homer.

Beneficiaries include Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Rochester; Big Brothers Big Sisters of Erie, Niagara and the Southern Tier; PEACE Inc. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Syracuse; Seneca Falls Central School District; Education Success Foundation; Hilton Central School District; Cortland Central School District; Homer Central School District; Marathon Central School District; McGraw Central School District and the Chapel in Cortland.

“At the heart of The Summit’s culture is supporting the communities that we serve,” said Twanda Christensen, Vice President of Marketing and Community Engagement. “We know that the cost of school supplies rises every year making it difficult for some families to fully provide their children with the essentials they need for the school year. We want to support our teachers and students and get them off to a great start for the 2022-2023 school year.”

The Summit School Supply Drive will conclude on August 23 to give the credit union time to distribute items to beneficiaries before the start of the school year. For a full list of supplies needed, visit your nearest branch of The Summit.
