Things Get Hairy at Service 1st During No Shave November

Danville, PA – November got a little hairy at Service 1st Federal Credit Union! In order to raise awareness of Prostate and Testicular Cancer, Service 1st introduced No Shave November, a fun program to get their employees involved in raising awareness and money for the Prostate Cancer Foundation.

Service 1st agreed to donate $100 to the Prostate Cancer Foundation for each employee that participated in No Shave November. In total, every male employee at Service 1st participated in the fundraiser, letting their facial hair grow throughout the month.

In addition, Service 1st organized a dress down day on November 16 which employees could donate a minimum of $3 to participate. The dress down day generated over $246 in donations from employees and members.

In total, $2,046 will be donated to the Prostate Cancer Foundation as proceeds from No Shave November.

Service 1st employees also have the opportunity to vote on their coworkers’ facial hair style. A winner will be selected for the following categories:

  • Manliest Beard
  • Most Distinguished Beard
  • Funniest Beard
