For the second year running, Together Credit Union has been named “Best In State” Credit Union by Forbes Magazine. Of the more than 5,000 credit unions nationwide, only 182 (3.5%) were awarded the best-in-state designation.
“Since 1939, we have been serving as an advocate for our members. Through product and service innovation as well as exceptional member service, we are building our legacy through change. Change that empowers and inspires our members to live their best lives,” said Bob McKay, CEO. “We are honored to be named ‘Best in State’ by Forbes and are equally honored that this designation represents our members’ experience and satisfaction, as it is our members that drive everything we do.”
To generate the 2020 list, Forbes hired Statista, a leading market research firm, to survey nearly 25,000 people in the U.S. about their current and former banking relationships. Banks and credit unions were rated on overall recommendations and satisfaction, as well as five sub-dimensions (trust, terms and conditions, branch services, digital services, and financial advice). Together Credit Union exceeded all state and national averages by credit unions in every category.
“Members-only credit unions typically have lower fees and offer better interest rates than traditional banks, and the nonprofit model also puts the customer first, resulting in higher levels of satisfaction,” noted Antoine Gara, Forbes staff, in the “Best In State” 2020 announcement.
For over 80 years, Together Credit Union has served as a trusted financial partner, empowering more than 134,000 Members nationwide to achieve their goals. As a member-owned, community-focused, not-for-profit financial institution, the Credit Union offers comprehensive banking products and financial services at 27 branches nationwide and through 24/7 Member resources and amenities.
