ST PETERSBURG, FL (February 9, 2015) — Today, PSCU’s board of directors announced that Tom Gandre, executive vice president and COO, has been named Acting CEO of the nation’s leading credit union service organization (CUSO).  With more than seven years of service with PSCU and more than 25 years in the payments industry, Tom will build upon PSCU’s solid foundation. Mike Kelly’s employment at PSCU was ended effective immediately.  A search has commenced, internally as well as across the industry, for a permanent successor.

“Our board has every confidence in Tom’s leadership, our executive team and our world-class employees,” said Mike Valentine, Chair of PSCU’s Board of Directors.  “PSCU will continue to focus on creating new core payment products and services that deliver efficiency and enhanced capabilities to our member credit unions.”

With a talented, tenured executive leadership team currently in place, the board will leverage this leadership change to continue to move PSCU to a new level of success.

Tom Gandre is responsible for growth, business and operations activities for PSCU, the nation’s leading CUSO.   In his previous role as a member of the executive team and as chief operating officer, Tom led the cooperative’s operations to include Card & Member Services, Information Technology, Product Development, Vendor Management, CU Learning, Innovation, Fraud, Collections and the Contact Centers. Prior to joining PSCU, Tom was senior vice president of product development and management at First Data Corporation. In that role Tom, was responsible for new development and ongoing product management for the Debit Services division, which included PIN and signature debit products, prepaid products, fraud and risk solutions, ATM products, and the STAR Network.  Tom graduated from the University of Wisconsin with a degree in management information systems.
