Truliant names Taylor Business Services Officer

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (April 18, 2018) — Truliant Federal Credit Union has named Kenny Taylor to the role of Business Services Officer.

Taylor will work with business owners in the Piedmont Triad and surrounding areas to provide locally focused lending solutions to meet the unique needs of business owners in communities served by Truliant. He reports to Rob McFarland, vice president of business services.

The credit union offers a complete range of commercial lending solutions for small, medium, and large businesses, and is a preferred SBA 7a lender.

“Kenny’s expertise at developing business relationships will serve our Business Services team well,” McFarland said. “He is a proactive leader who, in engaging with customers and the larger community, has achieved outstanding results. He is excited about our mission to provide a better banking experience to businesses we serve.”

Taylor spent the last 12 years in the financial services industry in the Triad area of North Carolina. He began his career with Wells Fargo (formally Wachovia Bank) as a Service Manager in Greensboro. Upon leaving Wells Fargo he took the role as Assistant Vice President and Branch Manager for SunTrust Bank in Greensboro.

At SunTrust, Taylor was promoted first to Vice President for Business Banking and then to Vice President for Commercial Banking in Winston-Salem. In those roles, Taylor was focused on managing commercial banking portfolios and new business development for small to mid-size corporations.

Taylor is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Leadership. Later this year, he will finish a degree with the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.  He has served on several local boards in the area, most recently as the Vice Chair for the Winston Salem Chamber <40 Advisory Board.
