Truliant opens new branch location in Mint Hill

WINSTON-SALEM, NC (November 12, 2014) — Truliant Federal Credit Union held a ribbon cutting today to celebrate the opening of the credit union’s newest full-service branch location in Mint Hill.

The new 2,300-square-foot Mint Hill facility supports Truliant’s membership growth in the Charlotte area and is located in the Mint Hill Pavilion Shopping Center on Brighton Park Drive. The location is Truliant’s sixth Charlotte-area Member Financial Center.

Truliant is working to give Charlotte area residents access to a better banking alternative and is motivated by making a difference in the lives of its current and future members.

“This location provides members with valuable access to the tools they need and want from a financial institution,” said Rik Kielbasa, senior vice president of member experience at Truliant.  “We look forward to growing the relationships we’ve built in the Mint Hill area with this innovative branch design that shows our commitment to the evolving functionality Truliant’s membership expects of our Member Financial Centers.”

The Mint Hill location allows Truliant to better serve existing member-owners and grow its base of local membership and businesses. It exemplifies Truliant’s commitment to providing financial management tools, technology and service driven by the needs of member-owners.

This location also marks Truliant’s third new branch opening in 2014. This year’s openings include Whitaker Square in Winston-Salem and a new Elon branch location in Burlington.

The facility extends a new branch design that does away with traditional teller lines, and instead focuses on unique teller pods designed to provide an enhanced side-by-side, more personal member service experience. It also provides additional convenience and accessibility with a freestanding 24-hour drive-up ATM.

Further, Truliant members will gain enhanced services like DocuSign, which streamlines common financial paperwork with electronic loan signing. Members can get needed signatures within seconds from loan parties simply by using their computer, tablet or smart phone. Security is ensured through customized questions designed to be answerable only by the true signee. The paperless transaction provides conveniently storable electronically documents, saves on mailing or printing costs and documents are tamper-proof, unalterable, and have dedicated audit trails to heighten security.

Truliant currently has been in Charlotte for nearly three decades with area locations that include Tyvola, Uptown, University, McAdenville and Matthews. The location is Truliant’s 24th Member Financial Center and is being managed by Catherine Sweeney.

“The mission drives business here at Truliant. It is not about shareholders, it is about the member-owner. Everything we do is invested back into the credit union to provide a better experience. We want to give our members access when, where and how they want to, without sacrificing service or paying high fees,” Sweeney said.

“We’re going to work hard to earn the right to call Mint Hill home, and hope to bring even greater financial wellness and security into an already amazing community.”
